What is Tantric Meditation?
A dynamic form of meditation:
We engage deeply with the senses as a pathway to awakening
We master the mind through skillful use of energy
We move beyond mind to connect with the Infinite
We bring the light of Pure Consciousness back into the world
I first learned Transcendental Meditation when I was 15. By age 20 I had begun a serious study of yoga, which led me over the years to explore various forms of meditation - Witness Consciousness, Vipassana, Mindfulness. Meditation had always helped me feel centered and calm. But when I first experienced Tantric Meditation at age 49, I was quite simply blown away. A portal opened within me. I was introduced to a vast inner world, and my practice completely ‘took off’. For the first time in my life, meditation offered me much more than inner peace. It cracked open my mind and changed me at my core. It gave me experiences beyond my comprehension, leaving me wide-eyed in wonderment. It nudged me to face hidden demons who eventually became my allies. It helped me to understand myself better, while seeing the world around me in a whole new light. It brought new epiphanies, nourished my passions, and guided me to move through the doorway of fear - to step into the light of the Self, claim my intrinsic gifts, and create my own joy.
This is what I want to share.
Inherently brilliant, the mind is our greatest ally on the spiritual journey. And yet with its constant busy-ness and distraction, fears and triggers, stories and dramas and incessant need for control - it is also our biggest obstacle. The Tantrics learned we could make use of the mind’s inherent brilliance while transcending the challenges it presents by drawing upon our prana - the energy and intelligence of the very life force that animates us. When we master our energy, we master the mind. The systematic techniques offered in this course offer a roadmap to free us from continual stress, stimulation and never-ending change. We enter into a ceaseless stream of calm beyond mind that is saturated with prana - a vibrant self-guiding presence that nourishes and empowers us. By discovering our unique inner radiance, we become a light to the world around us.
