Written in 200 BC, Patanjali’s Yoga Sutra is the singular text that illumines the path of yoga, guiding us towards profound self-understanding - the seed of all self-transformation.
The transcendent wisdom of the Sutras reveals the science of ‘awakening’ by threading together all the diverse teachings of yoga into a single body of knowledge. It’s scope is vast and profound, yet elegant in its simplicity, and completely relevant to today’s world. Study of the Sutras accelerates our journey of personal growth in the world while deepening our relationship to the Infinite.
The Sutras teaches us to:
master the mind and thus shape our perceptions
free ourselves from the tyranny of thought
establish witness consciousness
unite body, breath and mind to connect with Source
gain insight into our relationship with the Infinite
understand the source of suffering and therefore its cure
Our deep study will be supported by practices designed to integrate our learning through embodied experience. Each practice session is devoted to unfolding a key teaching - we begin by stabilizing the mind and body, and culminate with sublime practices to access the deepest heart.
